Alien Romulus is a strong addition to the Alien series that pays tribute to the original films while adding a fresh twist. Directed by Fede Álvarez, the movie starts off slowly, giving us time to connect with the characters. But once the action kicks in, it becomes a thrilling, bloody ride that’s full of tension and scares.
The first half of the film feels familiar, with clear nods to Alien, Aliens, and *Prometheus*. The performances are solid, especially from Cailee Spaeny and David Jonsson, who bring depth to their roles. The practical effects are excellent, though some CGI is noticeable.
The third act is where the movie really stands out, delivering intense horror that hasn’t been seen in recent entries. However, the shift in tone might not appeal to everyone. A familiar character from the series makes a return, adding a nice touch for fans.
Overall, Alien Romulus may not have the best story, but it’s a gripping, bloody, and entertaining addition to the series that fans will appreciate.
